Many young adults enter trade or vocational programs designed to prepare them for careers in maintenance, the medical field, programming, construction, cosmetology and other in-demand fields. To complete these programs, students need to be able to pay for tuition, books and course fees, as well as required tools, uniforms and supplies. The Miles’ Fund scholarship offered by the Harrison County Community Foundation can help.

The application is available at hccfindiana.org on the Scholarships page in the Our Work tab. Applicants must be between 18 and 21 years of age and legal residents of Harrison County. Applications must be submitted online by Thursday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. to be considered.

The Miles’ Fund scholarship is awarded twice a year. Reimbursement for items such as tools, uniforms and supplies must be verified by the student’s course syllabus and class schedule.
