Because of her attention to detail, she received numerous awards, including Learning & Development, and a Management Award.
Anna’s community activities and non-profit experience prior to the foundation included attending Harrison County Chamber of Commerce’s business events; Metro United Way’s annual campaigns; American Cancer Society’s telemarketing fundraiser; American Heart Association’s “Heart Walk”; and the Muscular Dystrophy’s “Lock up”. She spearheaded the Human Resource Roundtable Meetings so local businesses could gather monthly to discuss human resource issues.
Anna was hired at the foundation as the Administrative Assistant in May 2009. Along with her main duty of front gatekeeper tasks, she maintained the Imagination Library database and provided general program support.
In 2010, Anna eagerly added the Marketing role to her job description. She communicated with donors and continued creating the foundation’s one-of-a-kind detailed Fund Information Sheet. During this time, she also assisted with the grant process by aiding in the review of applications and gathering information for the Program Manager to present. Anna graduated from Leadership Harrison County in 2010.
In June 2012, she took on a new role as Grants Manager. She was very hands on with the creation, implementation, and continuation of the foundation’s first online grant application.
Anna received her Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from IUPUI The Fund-Raising School.
