Fund Purpose Provides support for the operations and programs of Corydon’s Comfort House, where child advocacy services are provided to the community.
Fund Story Comfort House established an endowment fund at the Harrison County Community Foundation in 2008. The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for the operations and programs of Comfort House.
Comfort House was established in 2004 as a Child Advocacy Center and is an associate member of the National Children's Alliance. Comfort House is located in Corydon and provides services to families affected by sexual abuse. Services include a multidisciplinary team forensic interview approach as well as the provision of a victim advocate in order to ensure appropriate referrals to counseling, etc. Comfort House staff is available to present information to community organizations regarding the necessity of child advocacy centers and the success of the multidisciplinary team approach. Comfort House personnel work as a team with law enforcement, child protection services, prosecutors and advocates. Services are primarily offered in Harrison County, however no one is denied services because of geographical location.

The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is committed to being a resource to help address the needs as they arise in our community resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak. The
HCCF COVID-19 Relief Fund will provide flexible resources to our nonprofit organizations serving Harrison County residents as they address immediate and long-term needs. HCCF will serve as a
partner in the effort.
If you would like to join us in helping meet the need, you are invited to make a gift to the HCCF COVID-19 Relief Fund. Gifts may be made online at hccfindiana.org or by mailing a
check to HCCF, PO Box 279, Corydon, IN 47112. Make checks payable to HCCF with "COVID-19 Relief Fund" noted.
