Contracted by the Town of Corydon, Hunger Skateparks tackled the redevelopment of the former Gerdon Auto Property by designing a 8,000 square foot skatepark that features a multi-pocketed bowl and a long, tiered flow/street section. The design was inspired by the over 150 responses and comments in the community survey, public input meetings, and by the local skatepark advocates leading the charge who currently have to travel to the Louisville area to skate. 

The skatepark site straddles the Little Indian Creek and expands the adjacent public park that includes a new pedestrian bridge, soft scape interactive playground, a recently restored WPA community building and a walking loop trail. 

Hunger Skateparks is skateboarder owned and operated, and a full service concrete skatepark design and build company. Their designs are innovative, balanced, and engaging for all styles and levels of skateboarding. They utilize building techniques that ensure long-lasting parks with low long-term maintenance. 

Hunger’s approach to park designing and building involves a high level of collaboration in order to develop projects unique to the community it will serve. Hunger Skateparks highest aim is not to build parks that few have the ability to enjoy, but to create balanced and creative parks that inspire a large audience. A successful park is a well-used park.
