Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is excited to continue the Nonprofit Growth Series, a string of workshops aimed at helping nonprofit organizations serving Harrison County grow and thrive. The next workshop in the series will be held Thursday, September 28, from 10 am to 2 pm, in the HCCF Conference Room.

Thus far, the workshop series has covered various subjects, including operations and diversity, equity, and inclusion training. The September workshop, entitled “Growing Your Grant Success,” will cover topics such as researching grants, the different kinds available, what to include in letters of intent, how to make your applications stronger, the importance of building relationships with funders, how to follow up once a grant is awarded, what to do if your grant is denied, and more. Lynn Huffman, a grant writing specialist with over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit world, will lead the workshop.

HCCF is partnering with 20/twenty Strategic Consultants out of New Albany, Indiana, to bring this offering to the community. The professionals of 20/twenty, alongside the staff at the Foundation, provide many years of combined nonprofit experience. With this experience comes an understanding of nonprofits' unique challenges and opportunities as they make a difference in our communities.

Attendance is free for nonprofit leaders serving Harrison County, but space is limited, so be sure to register early and secure your spot. Lunch is also provided with this workshop. To register, please visit hccfindiana.org/events. Nonprofits of all sizes and stages are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Michelle Dayvault, HCCF Director of Development, by emailing michelled@hccfindiana.org or calling (812) 738-6668.
