The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) Board of Directors recently approved the Ronald E. and Judith E. Albin Donor Advised Fund. This fund, along with other endowments at HCCF, was created to support causes donors are passionate about indefinitely.

Endowed Donor Advised Funds provide donors with a unique way to give back to their community. One key feature setting Endowed Donor Advised Funds apart is the opportunity for donors to recommend grants to qualified nonprofit organizations from the fund, unlike traditional endowments where donor involvement is limited once the donations are made. In either case, any endowment request must have final approval from the HCCF Board of Directors.

Like other endowments, the initial gift to an Endowed Donor Advised Fund is placed in a set-aside fund and managed by HCCF. This amount, along with subsequent donations, is then invested to create continuous financial support for the chosen causes.

In order to maintain the fund's sustainability, only a specific portion of the Endowed Donor Advised Fund's balance is available for supporting eligible and approved charitable requests.

“We are honored to add the Ronald E. and Judith E. Albin Donor Advised Fund to our existing endowments,” said Julie Moorman, HCCF President & CEO. “This fund will provide long-term support for causes the family is passionate about, and we are very grateful for their generosity.”
