Join us for the next workshop in our Nonprofit Growth Series on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm. We will learn from Lynn Huffman, a grant-writing specialist with over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit world.  This is a free event available to nonprofit leaders serving Harrison County. Lunch will be provided.

  • what to include in LOIs
  • how to make your applications stronger
  • the importance of building relationships with funders
  • how to follow up once a grant is awarded
  • what to do if your grant is denied

Lynn Huffman | Grant Writing and Fund Development Consultant
Lynn Huffman brings more than 30 years of nonprofit experience to 20/twenty Strategic Consultants. Having worked as a staffer, executive director, board member, volunteer, and consultant, she understands the inner workings of nonprofits from various viewpoints and can assist as you develop and grow your business.

Over the course of her career, she’s created many new events and programs and raised millions of dollars to help dozens of organizations like Gallopalooza, Greater Louisville Inc., Susan G. Komen Kentucky, the Louisville Free Public Library Foundation, and Exodus Family Ministries fulfill their missions.

While she specializes in writing grants, planning events, developing programs, and various forms of fundraising, she has also built volunteer programs, assisted with strategic planning, overseen committees and boards, developed and managed budgets, created social media campaigns and websites, and written annual reports, newsletters, and three books.

She is a member of Fund Raising Executives of Metro Louisville and the Kentucky Grant Professionals Association and is a magna cum laude graduate from Western Kentucky University. She also completed the Institute for Organization Management program at Southern Methodist University.

She has two grown children and is passionate about growing and photographing flowers.
