Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce three recent grant awards totaling over $63,000 in support of local nonprofit organizations. The grants aim to support a diverse range of programs that provide early childhood education, recreation activities, and historical preservation.

  • Lincoln Hills Development Corporation was awarded a $25,000 grant to renovate the current playground at the Early Head Start Center in Harrison County. This playground renovation will be age-appropriate for infants and toddlers, ages six weeks to three years of age.
  • Corydon Wrestling Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching the sport of wrestling to youth, was awarded $5,000 to purchase a new wrestling mat.
  • Main Street Corydon was awarded a $33,000 grant to reinstate its façade enhancement program. This funding will enable the program, which was active from 2015 to 2020, to be offered again, for buildings within the Town of Corydon’s historic downtown business district. Main Street Corydon will facilitate the façade enhancement program.

“HCCF is excited to support these local projects that provide more positive opportunities for our community,” said HCCF President & CEO Julie Moorman. “We are proud to partner with nonprofits that are making a difference in the lives of Harrison County residents.”
