Corydon, Ind. (May 30, 2025) – The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce $718,750 in scholarship awards to 114 graduating students who are residents of Harrison County. These scholarships serve as a testament to the Foundation’s commitment to supporting education and empowering students within our community. For the recipients, the awards are a meaningful recognition of their hard work and dedication.

The scholarship recipients were impartially selected by a countywide Universal Scholarship committee through a completely blind scoring process, considering academic performance, extracurricular involvement, community impact, and other scholarship-specific criteria.

“Being chosen for an HCCF Scholarship is a true testament of a student’s character and accomplishments,” said Heather Stafford, Director of Programs. “For these students to be awarded means they have truly earned it.”

The scholarships will provide financial assistance to these dedicated, talented students as they pursue their education goals. By alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with higher education and training, HCCF aims to enable students to focus on their studies and achieve academic success.

The Foundation extends its gratitude to the donors, supporters, and community members whose generosity has made these scholarships possible. Their contributions have directly impacted the lives of 114 deserving students and have opened doors to more opportunities and brighter futures.

“Investing in education is a powerful way to strengthen the future of our community,” said Julie Moorman, HCCF President & CEO. “We are honored to recognize local high school students whose exceptional commitment to learning and service truly sets them apart.”
