Corydon, Ind. (January 30, 2026) – Three new Builder’s Funds were recently established at the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF). Builder’s Funds are not designated for a specific purpose, allowing the HCCF Board of Directors to approve funds for the most pressing community needs as they arise, often alongside other grant funding. These funds will help support impactful projects throughout Harrison County, both now and in the future.

New Builder’s Funds established:

  • Haverty Family Builder’s Fund
  • Kevin and Alisa Burch Family Builder’s Fund
  • Rosa Hutchins Builder’s Fund

Flexible Giving Options:

A minimum contribution of $2,500 is required to establish a Builder’s Fund. However, contributions can be made in smaller increments, such as monthly payments, to reduce financial barriers and enable donors to make an impact at their own pace, now through June 30, 2028. Gifts may include stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, insurance, grain, livestock, and IRA distributions, including Qualified Charitable Distributions and Required Minimum Distributions.

Each Builder’s Fund helps support projects throughout Harrison County, and personalizing your fund cements your name to a legacy of meaningful change. Builder’s Funds can be named “In Honor” or “In Memory” of someone who made a significant impact in your life or the community. Alternatively, Builder’s Funds can be established in your name, family name, or business name to signify your commitment to the community. Important projects funded in part by Builder’s Funds include the Boys & Girls Club North in Palmyra, Indiana, currently under construction, and the Veterans Housing Project, now open and serving Veterans.

Builder’s Funds $3 for $1 Matching Opportunity:

The three new Builder’s Funds were established by donors who took advantage of the current $3 for $1 matching opportunity. This exceptional match is made possible through Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) IX Initiative, which offers a $2 for $1 matching opportunity, combined with an additional $1 for $1 match from the Foundation. This means every dollar you contribute to establish or donate to a Builder’s Fund is tripled, increasing your impact and driving meaningful change in Harrison County.

The $3 for $1 match to Builder’s Fund is available until June 30, 2028, or until matching funds are exhausted.
