Nine Builder's Funds Established

Corydon, Ind. (July 25, 2025) – Nine Builder’s Funds have recently been established at the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) by dedicated residents passionate about making a lasting impact on the community. Builder’s Funds, like all endowment funds, begin with a special gift placed in a set-aside fund held by the Foundation. However, Builder’s Funds are not designated for a specific purpose, allowing the HCCF Board of Directors to approve funds for the most pressing community needs as they arise alongside other grant funding.
The newly established Builder’s Funds include:
- Caudill-Hand Builder’s Fund
- Clifford and Lisa Steele Family Builder’s Fund
- Corydon Preservation Builder’s Fund
- First Savings Bank Builder’s Fund
- Scott and Laurie Dunaway Family Builder’s Fund
- Scott and Michelle Dayvault Family Builder’s Fund
- Stephen and Mary Lou Lowe Kitterman Family Builder's Fund
- Will and Misti Jones Builder’s Fund
- In memory of Bob and Sophie, Ronnie and Shirley, and Freddie Wolfe, and In honor of Jack Wolfe Families Builder’s Fund
These generous families, individuals, and businesses are not only giving today, but also investing in building a better tomorrow. By establishing a Builder’s Fund, they enable the Foundation and its Board of Directors to support a diverse range of community needs. The flexibility of Builder’s Funds is what makes them so powerful, as they represent the trust and stewardship Harrison County is built on, and what the community strives to become.
“As Harrison County grows and evolves, so will the challenges it faces,” said President & CEO Julie Moorman. “Builder’s Funds help ensure that HCCF remains agile and empowered to respond.”
