Deadlines Approaching for Ten HCCF Scholarships
Corydon, Ind. (May 27, 2026) – The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) currently has 10 scholarships with deadlines approaching. These scholarships offer a variety of opportunities including agriculture, education, forestry, healthcare, mathematics, science, and vocational training for adults and graduating high school students in Harrison County. HCCF continues to be committed to supporting higher education and empowering students within the community.
Scholarship applications with a deadline of June 15, 2026, before 4 pm EST:
- The Adult Health Field Scholarship provides educational support for students who are pursuing a certification or degree in any health-related field and have been high school graduates for at least one year.
- The Coffman Family Forestry Scholarship in Memory of Randy R. Coffman, son of Charles H. Coffman provides support for students majoring in Forestry Management-related programs. Secondary preference is given to students enrolled or planning to enroll in the following fields of study: Agricultural or Agricultural Business Management, Civil Engineering, Conservation, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Geology, or Geoscience.
- The Harrison County Farm Bureau, Inc. Agricultural Career Scholarship provides support to students in agricultural sciences who have successfully completed at least 24 college credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8. This scholarship supports majors in agricultural systems management, teaching, sales and service, marketing, or the management of food, fiber, and natural resources.
- The Herbert and Marilyn Gettelfinger Agricultural Scholarship provides support to students in agricultural studies who have successfully completed at least 24 hours of college credit with an accumulated GPA of 2.5 or higher. Preference will be given to students enrolled in either the Vincennes University Agriculture program or the Purdue University College of Agriculture.
- The Jessie L. Fogal and Arlie L. Fogal Scholarship provides support for students seeking an advanced medical and/or dental degree (MD, DMD, DDS). Applicants must be accepted into or already participating in a DDS or MD program. Preference will be given to applicants who have financial need and a desire to return to Harrison County to practice their profession. This scholarship is renewable for up to six years of study.
- The Robert H. Weber Memorial Scholarship provides scholarship support for students in educational studies. Applicants must have successfully completed at least 24 college credit hours. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in education, mathematics, or science.
- The Rosa Hutchins Nursing Scholarship provides support for students enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Applicants must be between the ages of 16-24 years old and pursuing a Licensed Practical Nurse, 2-year Registered Nurse, or 4-year Registered Nurse degree or equivalent.
- The New Salisbury Community Health Services Scholarship provides scholarship support for students majoring in a medical-related field, with preference to residents of Blue River, Jackson, Morgan, or Spencer townships.
Scholarship applications with a deadline of June 30, 2026, before 4 pm EST:
- The Adult Scholarship Program for Fall 2026 courses exists to assist adult students in completing a bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or certificate training program. Applicants must not currently hold an associate, bachelor’s, graduate, or doctorate degree. Applicants must be 25 years or older to apply.
- The Stella Jo Mullins Hardin Memorial Adult Scholarship provides scholarship support for adult students pursuing a post-high school program or certification, including associate and bachelor’s degrees. Students must be 19 years or older to apply, with preference given to applicants who are former students of South Central Junior-Senior High School and residents of either Boone, Heth, Posey, Taylor, Webster, or Washington township.
Applicants must currently be residents of Harrison County or have been residents of Harrison County at the time of high school graduation. HCCF encourages applicants to carefully review the full criteria listed on the website to ensure all necessary details are covered for the application.
