Corydon, Ind. (February 21, 2025) – Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce two recent grant awards totaling $95,000 in support of local nonprofit organizations.

  • Lanesville Heritage Weekend, Inc. was awarded a $75,000 grant to provide improvements to the Lanesville Community Center.
  • The Hoosier Mountain Bike Association was awarded a $20,000 grant to fund the construction of a new hiking and biking trail at O’Bannon Woods State Park. Funds from this grant were made possible by the Access to Recreation Fund, a Field of Interest Fund, which was established to provide support for accessible recreational opportunities in Harrison County, Indiana.

“HCCF is excited to support these local projects that provide more positive opportunities for our community,” said HCCF President & CEO Julie Moorman. “We are proud to partner with nonprofits that are making a difference in the lives of Harrison County residents.”

A Field of Interest Fund is an endowment fund established for a specific purpose, not for a specific entity. In total, HCCF currently holds 16 Field of Interest Funds that range from animal care, arts, environmental needs, health and safety, recreation, tuition assistance, and more.
